About A Strange Loop

If you’re looking for a bold and innovative musical that challenges your expectations of musical theatre, then this is the show for you. After wowing Broadway audiences, A Strange Loop in London will take the West End by storm. Book A Strange Loop tickets on Box Office.

Usher is a Black queer writer who works front of house at The Lion King on Broadway. He’s trying to make a name for himself as a writer. As he works on his own musical, he faces obstacles and doubts about his identity and self-worth. In the A Strange Loop musical, Usher confronts his past and present, through a series of vivid, surreal and often hilarious encounters.

Michael R. Jackson’s musical took 20 years to develop and make it to Broadway. He is widely praised for his innovative approach to storytelling, as well as his bold and unapologetic portrayal of Black queer experiences. New York Theatre Guide raved about the musical, stating: “This is art as activism in its highest form.” Jackson even won a Pulitzer Prize for Drama for A Strange Loop.

A Strange Loop will push the boundaries of musical theatre. It’s a powerful commentary on race, sexuality, and identity, but it's also a celebration of the power of art and creativity. Don’t miss this summer’s must-see musical. Book A Strange Loop tickets on Box Office.
