The Arts Theatre welcomes an Edinburgh Festival Fringe favourite in 2017 as Dirty Great Love Story arrives with cast members like Felix Scott and Ayesha Antoine.
This will be something that fans of up-and-coming work should relish as it heads from the world of fringe theatre to the West End, allowing director Pia Furtado to present Richard Marsh and Katie Bonna’s romantic comedy to a new crowd. It is not something that West End theatregoers are going to want to miss out on.
Scott and Antoine portray two romantics in the show and during the course of the performance we will witness events get worse and worse as they sleep together and then go their separate ways. Both of them have different feelings towards the other and ultimately the audiences will be asked to consider the consequences of such a night.
This hilarious show has been on the receiving end of great reviews, with critics finding the show feel-good and laugh-out-loud. So it is the perfect antidote for the post-Christmas blues as it makes its way to the capital in the New Year.
Director Pia Furtado first presented Dirty Great Love Story in Edinburgh in 2012 and has since put together a range of other shows that have been seen around the country and here in London. Her credits include Carmen Disruption at the Almeida Theatre, Octopus at the Theatre503 (as well as in Edinburgh) and Much Ado About Nothing in Colchester. With this new production of Dirty Great Love Story, however, she finds a new audience in the capital of theatre.
Dirty Great Love Story runs at the Arts Theatre from Wednesday 18th January 2017.
