Audiences headed to The Other Palace this September will have the opportunity to celebrate Irving Berlin as the Canadian performer Hershey Felder embodies the composer onstage in the West End.
Felder will put his skills to the test in the capital, honing those that have already propelled him to great success on the other side of the Atlantic. He is well known for portraying composers onstage, with this season also bringing his Leonard Berstein show to the capital, and as such audiences are in safe hands when they head to The Other Palace later in 2017.
It appears in a year that also brings various other impersonations of big names to The Other Palace, including Britney Spears The Cabaret, which sees Christie Whelan portray the Pop Princess onstage.
As well as his work portraying Berlin and Bernstein, Felder has also stepped into the shoes of Gershwin and others, bringing tales and songs to the stage that manage to take audiences back in time.
As such theatregoers have been relishing his work for many years, with numerous shows across the United States in cities like Los Angeles, New York, Boston and more.
The show will allow him to demonstrate his skills as a performer as Berlin’s songs are brought to life onstage, whilst also allowing him to delve behind the scenes so that audiences come away with a broader knowledge of Berlin and where he was coming from.
And this will make the show enduringly popular as Berlin remains one of the most celebrated songwriters of the 20th century, with numerous films and stage shows under his belt during a successful career.
